Constitution

                           Economic Policy and Planning Board works under the overall guidance of the State Government and is headed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Punjab as a Chairman. The other Ex-Officio members include all ministers, all MPs, Chairmen, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Finance and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister. Besides Non -Official Members can be appointed as per requirement. Principal Secretary Planning or Secretary Planning is the Member Secretary of the Economic Policy and Planning Board.                          Non-Official membersto be co-opted depending on the requirement from time to time.
 
 

Terms and Conditions of Appointment:

          The Board will be a permanent body, however, the tenure of Non Official Experts and Non-Official Members will be for a period of three years and it can be extended further with the approval of the Chairman. Their other terms and conditions, if any, shall be notified separately.

          The Headquarter of the Board will be at Chandigarh. The Board or any of the Committee and Working Group constituted there under may however, meet at any other place as and when considered necessary.

          The Board will be an Advisory Body and will make its recommendations to Government. The responsibility for taking and implementing the decisions will rest with the Government.
